Are you too embarrassed to use coupons at restaurants?

restaurant coupons
LinkTheWorld asked:

So you take someone special out on a date at a nice restaurant, and right before the waiter goes to get your bill you pull out a 10% off coupon?? Just seems weird to me.

How do you feel on this issue?

If its for a date no I wouldn’t do it….if its an everyday thing..then thats fine.

It seems a little off for a first date, but in general, why would we fault anyone for saving a few bucks?

i dont see why people get so obsessed over it,
i mean we all want to save some money huh?

It really depends. I really dont see coupons for what you talking about. Unless your at McDonalds or something.

I’d be clever about it. I’d somehow slip the coupon to him if I had it on a date. So yes I would be embarrassed. If I was trying to impress a girl I wouldn’t be flashing the coupons. That’s what married people do. Not people who are dating.

    It’s nothing big actually.
It’s the whole point of the invention of coupons; to save money.
If the date feels weird about it, that’s their problem, really.
Saving a couple dollars is a wonderful thing.

I think its great to save money on a date or whenever you can.I think people should just be their self and not get embarassed so easy.and not pretend to be something you’re not.if someone is going to like u then they will like you anyway.Just bve you at all times and if someone don’t like you then oh well.

Although coupons are promotional techniques used by restaurants and I would not feel bad about using one when taking a family member of a friend to dinner, a date is different. A 10% is just too little, it would make you seem …..cheap. You should probably save your coupon for another occasion, if its a date for two and the bill is no more that $30, then a coupon would not have a great impact on your overall tab.

Oh yeah, whether you use it or not is up to you. Also, TIP YOUR SERVER!!! It looks rude not to, specially on a date.
