what message is opera saying by giving out free chicken coupons?

as you all might know, opera gave out free chicken coupons for kfc. we are having a debate at work regarding the issue. my co-worker thinks it looks bad that she promoted chicken to black people, enforcing the sterotype that all black people love chicken. (mind you we are in a prominitely black area) he feels that if opera wanted to give out a meal she should have made a different choice…what do you think?
