Couldn’t I technically get free plates and cups using these coupons?

free coupons
not.forgotten asked:

Okay, I have 12 coupons total: 6 for b1g1 free Chinet plates and 6 for b1 Chinet value pack of plates get one pack of Chinet cups free.

I’m thinking that if I buy 12 packs of plates and 6 packs of cups, I only have to pay for 6 packs of plates, right? (use the b1g1 free coupon to get the free plates and the buy plates get cups free to get the cups for free)… Well, what happens if I take the 6 packs of plates that I paid for back to the store? Would I have to return the free cups and plates too? Or, would they take them back?

Thanks!
didn’t really think of it that way, zackey. I got them in the mail together so I figured I would see if I could try to get the best deal I could for them.

depends on the store-some stores average out the price of all the plates together, then refund that amount.

Hell, sounds like a damn good idea to me. I think you ought to try it. Good luck!!!

Depends on the store policy. Where I used to work, if you returned something that was bought with a coupon we would return it minus the value of the coupon.

The receipt reflects the coupon. If you take 6 plates back, they’ll give you credit for three (since you got 3 from the b1g1 offer).

Plus, they usually won’t double count coupons in the first place. If you used a “b1g1″ coupon on an item, you can’t use a second “b1g1″ coupon on that same item. You’d have to pay for a second item to use a second coupon. So the cups wouldn’t be free unless you bought even more plates.

In the big picture, though, what’s more important–free plates, or your personal sense of ethics? Don’t let yourself be tempted in these little things. It’s not worth it in the long run. (sorry, had to say it.)

usually what happens is that you have to return ALL the dishes not just the ones u paid for.
